Relamping – Based on a five-year replacement cycle, an average of over thirty thousand lights bulbs are replaced per year. This effort significantly reduces the amount of light out calls by effectively replacing the bulb before its end of life. An average life span of a lamp is 24,000 hours.

Pole Replacement Program – The program identifies, through inspection, poles that reaching end of life. An average life span of a pole is twenty-five years. This is an ongoing yearly activity.

Research & Development – ALAMP (Adaptive Lighting Asset Management Program) – At our Wiltshire test facility, new roadway light sources such as LED, induction lighting, T5 fluorescent, and electronic ballast operated metal halide and high-pressure sodium are being tested to determine energy efficiency and durability.
