Clean and green projects provide important capacity for Ontario’s electricity system. Clean energy projects utilize clean fuels like natural gas for emergency power or high-efficiency cogeneration applications resulting in lower overall emissions. Green energy projects utilize renewable energy sources such as wind, biogas and solar which minimize environmental impact.

The Ontario Power Authority (OPA)’s mission is to contribute to the development of a reliable and sustainable electricity system for the benefit of Ontario customers. The OPA plans for the long term needs of electricity users. In addition, they will procure and coordinate conservation and electricity supply from diverse resources. TH Energy actively participates in the these programs and competitive processes to help Ontario overcome the supply constraints.
